Recurring Payments Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: October 6, 2026 · Mandatory Merchant Disclosure for Cardholders
"By agreeing to recurring payments, the cardholder authorizes PayMongo to automatically deduct payment from the given credit/debit card account until he/she revokes such authorization. The payments shall be charged at the start of each billing cycle, which shall be dependent on the agreed products/plans. After the processing of payment, the Merchant shall reach out to the cardholder if his/her payment is successful or not. PayMongo shall not be held liable for the Merchant's failure to notify the cardholder regarding the payment status. The cardholder further acknowledges and agrees that the billing cycle and amount to be deducted are dependent on the instructions made by the Merchant to PayMongo."

1. Scope and Applicability
This Recurring Payments Terms and Conditions policy applies to all cardholders who opt to purchase recurring auto-renewable access passes on Continuum Academy. It supplements our General Terms and Conditions and governs the automated billing relationship between you ("Cardholder"), Continuum Academy Inc. ("Merchant"), and PayMongo Philippines, Inc. ("Payment Gateway").
2. Subscription Plans, Billing Cycles, & Amounts
Depending on the access plan selected at checkout, recurring charges are processed as follows:
Deducted once every six (6) calendar months from your designated credit or debit card until authorization is revoked.
Deducted once every twelve (12) calendar months from your designated credit or debit card until authorization is revoked.
3. Merchant Payment Notification Responsibility
Upon the automated processing of each renewal attempt by PayMongo:
- Successful Charges: An official electronic VAT receipt and transaction summary will be dispatched immediately to your registered account email via Mailgun.
- Failed Charges: If an automatic debit attempt fails due to insufficient funds, card expiration, or bank authorization issues, the Merchant will notify you via email and provide a 3-day grace period to update payment details before subscription status transitions to
past_due. - Disclaimer: In accordance with PayMongo guidelines, PayMongo shall not be held liable for the Merchant's failure to notify the cardholder regarding payment status.
4. Revocation of Authorization & Cancellation Rights
You maintain the absolute right to revoke your recurring payment authorization at any time without penalty:
- Self-Service: Log into Continuum Academy, visit Billing Settings, and click "Cancel Subscription". This immediately commands our backend to revoke recurring charge tokens on PayMongo.
- Email Request: You may also send a written cancellation notice to
support@continuum-edu.comat least 48 hours prior to your scheduled renewal date. - Effect of Cancellation: Paid access continues without interruption until the conclusion of your current billing period; no subsequent automated charges will occur.
